ALGONQUIN:
Buffalo Park – A former campground. Mature trees and the Fox River make this special place a fantastic background for couples, families, seniors, or business branding. Lovely in the spring and summer and gorgeous in the fall. Pairs nicely with downtown Algonquin.
Cornish Park – Algonquin’s Clocktower; bridges; paths; mature trees & Fox River make our sessions rich with eclectic vibe! Pair in downtown Algonquin to add aging buildings; ivy; and historic flare.
Downtown Algonquin – Aging colorful buildings; ivy; stone; and brick will make your session timeless, classic, and rememberable. Pair in Towne Park or Cornish Park to add the perfect mixture of nature to your session.
Riverfront Park, Algonquin – Riverwalk; Boulders; Fox River; Benches; Look Out area. Perfect for all sessions! Ties in nicely with Cornish Park and/or Downtown Algonquin.
BARRINGTON:
Barrington Public Library - *Permission needed / Rules established* Gorgeous windows and light; endless amounts of books; private areas; fabulous outdoor garden area with stone wall and stairs.
Citizen’s Park – An absolute gem! Mature trees; paths; bridges; large boulders; a waterfall; a treehouse; brick; stone; etc. – I could go on and on! I love this park!
CARPENTERSVILLE:
Carpentersville Dam – Fox River; Gazebo; beautiful nooks; a beautiful pond; foliage ensures a session to remember!
Otto Park – Sadly, the historic train bridge is no longer in existence; however, the park is filled with gorgeous trees and has the background of the Fox River. Additionally, there are boulders and beautiful brick buildings that create a perfect urban/nature vibe. Absolutely gorgeous as the sunsets!
Fox River Shores - Surrounded by beautiful mature trees, gorgeous in the fall. Pairs well with Fox River Shore bike path which follows the Fox River. Trees; boulders; paths; gorgeous light. Some of my favorite sessions have been shot here.
CARY:
Rotary Park – Stone; graveled paths; prairie grasses; benches; water; and open space – gorgeous sunset location! Perfect for families and couples!
CRYSTAL LAKE
Crystal Lake Downtown – Beautiful flowers; brick; historical buildings will absolutely add an epic vibe to your session!
Veterans Acres – One of our favorite locations. Mature trees; paths; bridges; foliage. Rustic outdoor vibe. Cannot go wrong here! Easy to connect session to Downtown Crystal Lake.
DUNDEE:
Brunner Family Barn – A gem that I discovered while scoping out Carpentersville and Dundee. Obviously, there is a beautiful red barn but there is so much more! Paths; open fields; flowers; trees; etc. A little bit of country in the middle of our blossoming area. Perfect for all sessions!
Downtown West Dundee – What’s not to love? Beautiful water walks; gorgeous brick; ivy covered buildings; incredible stairs; fabulous gate way structure. Perfect for business branding, senior sessions, and couples.
Haegar Pottery Building – This building offers so many options! Black brick; white brick; windows; ladders; a staircase; handrails; etc. – incredible urban vibe!! would pair very well with Otto Park. Haegar’s Pottery is perfect for couples; branding; and senior sessions!
Jelke Creek Bird Sanctuary – Newer entity. Paths, ponds, huge cottonwood trees; boulders, etc. – wide open spaces. I just recently discovered this beautiful area and cannot wait to see it in the spring and summer. Perfect for couples and family sessions!
McHenry:
McHenry Riverwalk – Nestled in the historic river town of McHenry. River; pedestrian bridge; gazebo; stoned walking paths lined with boulders. Picturesque!! mchenry riverwalk - Search (bing.com)
Long Grove:
Buffalo Creek Forest Preserve – Beautiful scenic park land! Has nice walking trails; bridges; water; gorgeous open areas. Perfect accent to a downtown Long Grove shoot! Bing Maps - Directions, trip planning, traffic cameras & more
Downtown Long Grove – Charming historical town filled with eye appealing detail! Cobblestone streets; vintage looking buildings; colorful gardens; private nooks; gazebo; small lake with fountain; water wheel; of course, the Robert Parker Coffin Bridge! longgrove.org/directions/
St. Charles:
LeRoy Oakes - Incredibly picturesque! Fabulous combination of paved and nature trails. Gorgeous trees! A beautiful barn! An history school house! One of my favorite places to shoot! Caters to couple, family, and senior sessions!
Pottawatomie Park - Fabulous combination of the Fox River; Great Western Trail Bridge; maintained pathways. Offers a variety of vibrant & scenic backgrounds.
